Using Markdown by Aiku

The editor and PDF exporter are provided "as is" to help you compose and share documents. The application runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology.

Privacy

        Your documents stay on your device. Markdown by Aiku processes all content locally in your browser. Your Markdown text is never transmitted to our servers.
      

What we do not collect:

Your document content (Markdown, generated PDFs)
Personal information or user accounts
Cookies for tracking or advertising

What may be collected:

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, access times) for security and availability monitoring
Font files are loaded from Google Fonts CDN, which has its own privacy policy

Third-Party Services

Markdown by Aiku loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com). These requests are subject to Google's privacy practices. No other third-party services process your content.

Availability

We aim for continuous availability, but since this is a static web application, downtime is rare. The core functionality (editing and PDF generation) works offline once the page is loaded.

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the documents you create. The Markdown by Aiku application code and design are proprietary to Aiku. The Typst typesetting engine is used under the Apache 2.0 license.

Disclaimer

The service is provided without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the application, including but not limited to data loss or inaccuracies in PDF output.

Updates

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Markdown by Aiku after revisions means you accept the new terms.
